Celebrating 30 years of hard work and dedication of Andy Addy
A M Warkup are proud to celebrate the 30 years of hard work and dedication of Andy Addy our multi talented Draughtsman and IT Manager.
Andy first started working for the Company in July 1985 as a Draughtsman but, was made redundant in 1993.
He returned to work for us on July 1st 1996 and hasn’t stopped keeping us updated with technology ever since!
During his absence, he had learnt AutoCAD and quickly got rid of the drawing boards and introduced the department to AutoCAD and computers, something Mick Warkup just let him get on with, as he didn’t appreciate this new technology himself but, fully understand the Company had to embrace it in order to develop, move forward and remain competitive.
Andy has designed software for stock control, staff management, customer data and job estimation. He has played a large part in planning applications, site surveys, site photography and also drone photography.
He was fully responsible for the incredible building models produced for a number of shows and fairs the Company attended, which are still talked about today.
Andy’s main role is to keep owner Tracey on the right track with all things technological. Although not as computer illiterate as her Dad, Mick, Tracey openly admits to not being too far behind him and likes to keep Andy challenged!!!!
